Network Design
Your network is the backbone of your I.T. infrastructure. An insufficient network will limit the effectiveness of all other components within it. A poorly designed network can not only decrease your efficiencies, but also open you up to many security issues both internally and externally. A properly designed network will allow you access to all of your required data and software applications, in a secure and timely manner. We can work with you to properly design and implement a network that meets all of your requirements.
We begin by defining the goals of the network design. Then, we prepare a budget sufficient to complete the process. Only with these steps completed, can we begin our network design and implementation plan. Network design is 90% planning and 10% execution. It is extremely important that your design is done correctly. Our IT department staff holds industry standard certifications, including one of Microsoft’s highest certification of MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer(s)). You can be sure our certified staff will design a plan that satisfies not only your requirements but takes into account the ever changing advancements in network design and technologies.
Only with all the planning steps completed, do we begin implementing the newly designed system. We will work with you to schedule the appropriate time and manpower to install and configure the new system. Once installed, you can count on our staff to advise and support your new network to ensure it maintains optimal performance.
Software Selection
Choosing the right software for your business is something you want to do with careful consideration and research. Choosing incorrectly can provide you with years of frustration and lost profit due to inefficiencies. Choosing the right software requires a clear definition of the objectives you envision your software solution resolving.
These objectives can include:
- Improving efficiency
- Reducing paperwork
- Regulatory compliance
- Resolution of issues unique to your situation
With your objectives defined, the next step is finding the program(s) that will fulfill the most objectives and fit into your budget. Part of the software selection process is a determination of the adequacy of your current hardware configuration or the replacement equipment needed to optimize the new system.
This can be a complex decision tree and it is easy to become overwhelmed. That is where we enter. You can rely on our experience to successfully navigate your company through all aspects of the software selection process.
Hardware Selection
Choosing the proper hardware for your company can be a daunting task. The world of hardware moves at a breakneck pace. There is an old saying that as soon as your hardware installation is complete, it is obsolete. Finding a satisfactory solution includes weighing many options at once. These options include choosing the hardware supplier, the budget for the project, and the compatibility of the solution.
Where are you going to purchase your system? Do you go with a major hardware player like Dell or HP? Joe’s Computer Shack at the end of your street? What’s the difference? Is any part of your current system a cost effective component of the new system?
How much should you spend on your solutions? Break the bank for cutting edge technology? Save some money buying refurbished equipment? Go for something middle of the road? Your budget is a very important piece to the puzzle, and getting the most out of it is imperative to accomplishing your goals. Under spending can be as detrimental to success as over spending.
Although obscure, there is a sweet spot between cost, performance, and quality. Finding this balance is something we can help you obtain.
Making educated decisions regarding new hardware deployments can not only save you significant money, but also save you countless future headaches. Our considerable experience in designing and purchasing hardware configurations allows us to guide you throughout this process.
